Thank you for visiting my weblog and welcome to the world of oil-painting and stone. With this blog I´d like to give you an overview of my work, which consists of oil-paintings and statues made of soft stones. Once a year I show and sell my work at the fair ¨Hecho en la Alpujarra¨ in Órgiva (Granada, Spain), where my wife Maria and I live since 2006. I don´t have a business or shop, one of the rooms of our apartment is my workshop. Just like the title of my weblog says, most important for me is the joy (placer) of the making and, besides that, I want to share this joy by offering the possibility to buy art at a payable price.

 The subjects of the paintings (cuadros) are mainly subjects that in one way of another affect my life at a certain moment. The sculptures (esculturas) are often designed by myself or based on subjects I happen to see in magazines, papers, internet or in the street.

 The paintings are made on linnen, panel and some on wood. The sculptures are mainly made of steatite (soap stone), but also of alabaster, serpentine, cobalt and verdita. I make them all by hand, don´t use machinery.

 I wish you a lot of joy looking at my work, and any comment will be appreciated as this can be a source of inspiration to continue with even more joy.
